The nice thing for baseball handicappers is that you only really have to handicap the matchup between the two pitchers. This makes baseball one of the easier sports for handicappers, because not a lot of variables go into that decision.

It’s all about the matchups
Baseball handicappers need to have a strong grasp on different matchups if they are going to be successful. Left handed batters and right handed batters fare differently, for the most part, against various pitchers. That is one of the most important things to look at. In addition, various park factors are worth considering. For example, a team full of left handed power hitters will fare better offensively at Yankee Stadium, where there is a short porch out in right field. Having knowledge of those things could mean the difference in a win and a loss.
